Intentional Faith Development

Through Intentional Faith Development (IFD), each of us grows in our knowledge of what it means to be the people of God in our world. We equip the church and community with the word of God so that we may be able to develop a closer spiritual relationship with God through our understanding of the word and fulfill our purpose for which He made us.

We offer education for children and youth at church each Sunday during the church service, except for the 4th and 5th Sunday. On the 4th Sunday the children’s choir sing and on the 5th Sunday they lead the worship service. In our adult gatherings, we seek to keep present the mystery of God’s presence in our lives as we explore, question, and talk together.
Some examples of the IFD ministry include:

  • Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF)/Bring Your Own Bible (BYOBible) study every Friday night from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Christian Book Club
  • Confirmation classes for youth
  • Christian Puppet Show for Annual Block Party
  • Men’s Bible Studies
  • Stewardship Bible Studies
  • Vacation Bible School (VBS)—a one week summer program for ages 4 years and up during the evening.
  • Disciple Bible Studies
  • Joshua Enrichment Program (JEP)—a one week summer program for middle-to-high schoolers during the day.
